If only...

If only you were here today,
Oh the things that you might say!
Your little sister is married now
And yes, I am sure, you are wondering "how?"

This time of year is always tough
Because I know that for our dad, it must be rough.
He continues to love you each and every day
His love for you is more than he can say.

I often wonder how things would be
If you were still here, with us... all happy.
You might be a dad, or a husband, who knows
But you would be here, watching our family grow.

I am sure you already know,
But you are an uncle to two precious little beaus.
Although they will never get to meet their Uncle Brew,
This I am sure, they will know everything about you!

If only you were here today,
Oh the things I would say!
I would tell you how much you mean to us,
And tell you I love you, just because.

Brother, I wish that you could be here on earth,
To love me and comfort me when I am hurt.
July 16th is always a day,
That I think, "If only... Oh, what I would say."

A big brother, a cousin, a grandson, and a son,
All the roles you played, so much laughter and so much fun.
Brew, I hope that you will always know,
That because of you our world did glow!

We love and miss you Brew!

Life as a Jones girl...

Since it has been like FOREVER since my last post I suppose it is time for an update on how things are going these days. First I will start by posting all my favorite pics from the last few months and the stories that go along with!

Precious little Cason was born November 22, 2011. He is such a little cutie and looks a lot like his daddy at times. Although we haven't gotten to see him much yet, I look forward to getting to know this little guy and being his aunt! He is growing up so fast and is certainly not underfed! :)

 Cason and daddy

 Cason and grandpa
 me and Cason

 such a big boy!
Justin says this is his "I'm pooping" face!

We hosted a Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt this year at our house. It was so fun getting all of the eggs together and watching the kids hunt them. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and their kiddos!

As you can see...we had lots of fun! :)

We are so lucky to have a place to go hand out at the lake and soak up the sun. Dad and Justin bought a cabin there and are in the process of remodeling it. It is a great place to spend family time and we really enjoy ourselves! It is SO totally beautiful out there! Here are some pics from this summer so far!

 Isn't he cute???

So, here are some highlights from the past few months. I can't believe that Jeremy and I have been married eight months now. It seems like just yesterday. We have really enjoyed the past eight months as a "married" couple! I can honestly say I have never been so in love. Jeremy knows just what to say and how to say it. I just recently finished a book called The Five Love Languages. I recommend it to anyone that is in a relationship. I am trying to get Jeremy to read it but haven't quite gotten him there yet! Fingers crossed!

As some of you may know, our house is for sale! We love love love our house but are looking for something a little different right now. We have decided to wait to have children for a few years and start a new chapter in our lives. Maybe something like water, sunshine, gardening, fishing, and fresh air! Hmmm, can't wait!

Until next time, hugs and kisses from the jones family!

Here we go 2012!

So much has happened the past few months and I must say I am relieved that it is all over! We finally get a chance to fully unpack our house, fully CLEAN our house, and fully enjoy our new life as husband and wife! With the wedding in October, Thanksgiving in November, and of course Christmas in December, we haven't had a chance to even breath! Don't get me wrong. I absolutely LOVE family time! But, I am pretty excited about the next few months being holiday free! It's almost as if we haven't settled into reality yet...because we simply haven't had time! But a few things I have had time to notice....

One... my husband is truly amazing. He tagged along all through the holidays with little to no complaining. He is so loving and caring.  He kisses my forehead at just the right time. He cuddles me even when he doesn't want to. I just love him!

Two... we are so lucky to have our boys. They keep me warm when J is gone. They  play with me. Laker gets water all over the floor when he drinks. Tripp lays in front of the fire on the warm carpet. They make my mornings bright. We are so lucky to have them.

Three... we had the perfect wedding! I see pictures on my digital picture frame all day long at work. Every picture I see reminds me of how thankful I am for our friends and family who made our wedding possible. I just wish I could go back a relive it. It was truly amazing.

And four...we are so lucky to have found our home and so lucky to have it. It took a lot of time and work (thanks to everyone that helped) but it is turning out just perfect. All of the extra space is so handy to have. The boys love their new backyard. We couldn't be happier!

We are so excited for our future. There has been much talk about little Joneses...just not sure when. But this I can promise. The nursery will be designed. The names will be picked. Every wrinkle will be ironed. Everything will be ready to go when we do decide to expand...thanks to pinterest!

That's the update on us! Have a happy happy new year!
