Bridal Shower!

When I woke up this morning I thought, "HOLY CRAP, IT'S MY BRIDAL SHOWER TODAY!" The wedding is getting so close and it's so exciting to start all of the wedding festivities. I can't believe it is only a month and a half away! After a last minute change of wardrobe and some quick shopping on tax free weekend (bad idea might I add),  I was off to my bridal shower! It was PERFECT! My hostesses did so good! I got lots of goodies for the new house that just made me really ready to move in and start decorating! Most of my family was there which made it that much better! We had some of Shelly's chicken salad sandwiches and cheese and crackers to snack on...two of my very favorites! Lyndsay and Lisa made some super cute fruit skewers and Stephanie brought yummy yummy cake balls! Brittney and Tena had a cake make in Oklahoma City that was to die for! It was a raspberries and cream ribbon cake and boy was it yummy! Lindsey made some really cute decorations to sit on the table! It all came together perfectly and I couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you to all my hostesses and everyone that came! Days like today make me realize just how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life! :)

Here are a few pics! Steph got more but they are on her camera so I will share as soon as I can! :)

dress shopping!

Yesterday was a pretty good day! I got some wedding stuff done and hung out at the lake with dad and Sandra! Then Steph called and wanted to know if I wanted to go to dinner with her and Sammy and the kids! Of course I did...I am ALWAYS up for food! But I had a surprise for Steph too! She was doing Insanity workout when I got there. After a few minutes I told her she needed to stop. She asked me "why?" I told her because I needed for her to try on a dress! "A dress for what?" When I told her a BRIDESMAID dress she got super excited and ran over and gave me a big sweaty hug! :) She was sooo excited and so am I! After dinner we went to David's Bridal for Kelby and Granny to try on dresses! Kelby looked like such a little princess! Granny found a few that she loved as well! Next it will be Hunter's turn and I can't wait to see how handsome he looks in his little "tudeedo"! The whole family is going to be all dressed up and I can't wait to see everyone! I get more and more excited as each day passes! 87 DAYS TO GO!

On another note, we are closing on our house this morning! We are so excited and can't wait to get the keys! I will be a first time home buyer! I am so ready to start decorating the new house! Will post pics soon! :)

sleepless nights!

With 87 days to go until the wedding things are getting super busy and hectic! As I have said before, I love all of the craziness that comes with wedding planning because I am 100% certain that mine is going to be absolutely PERFECT! BUT, I have recently started waking up all hours of the night (on my actual nights off) with wedding thoughts in my head! It is then like instinct for me to jump into planning mode which makes it impossible for me to go back to sleep! With our wedding date approaching rapidly, there is no time to waste! But let me tell ya, this makes for one sleepy girl during the day! So here I am blogging at 4:30 in the morning! Good thing I am off tomorrow and am going to the lake to hang out with my daddy and Sandra! I'm sure there will plenty of napping around that place! :)

Speaking of dad and Sandra, their wedding was just perfect for them. We all got to the Holliday Inn early and got ready together in one of the rooms. I will say, there was WAY too much estrogen in that room! And curling irons...EVERYWHERE! I was nervously awaiting a shrill scream from one of the TEN kids as they grabbed one of the TEN hot irons! Luckily we made it through with no major injuries. Can you tell i'm not ready for little ones yet? Good thing for mimosas! :) The wedding ceremony turned out great! Dad looked so handsome and cute in his black wranglers and white button up. Sandra looked very pretty and as always, very skinny! :) I am so happy for them! Aunt Sheri did a very good job of putting everything together for the wedding and after a little bossy-bossy on her part, it came together beautifully. I am so thankful for everyone who came. It was a special day for dad and Sandra and I don't think they could have asked for a better one! After the party J and I headed home for a quick nap. All those kiddos wore me out... :). Then everyone went to dad and Sandra's for a shrimp boil and cookout! Sammy was even able to make it! It was a great day! Here are some pics of the wedding! :)

exciting times!

Well hello! It's been forever since my last post! The last few months have been super exciting and busy for us! I just finished my training in the ER at United Regional. Sunday will be my first shift ALL on my own! The people I work with are totally awesome and always willing to help so that makes going to work so much better! :)

We are also going to be moving soon! We found a house that we just love and can't wait to fix it up and start decorating! It has a huge backyard for the boys that they will just LOVE! We close on Wednesday and are so super excited!

The wedding plans are also coming along pretty good!!! Lyndsay came by tonight and reminded me of exactly how much I DON'T have done! Lol! We decided to pick a day once a week and start chipping away at all of the things that need to be done! There are so many aspects to look at when planning a wedding! It's just crazy! Jeremy has been so sweet and helps out when he can too! It's so stressful now but it is such a great feeling to know that our wedding day is going to be just perfect! 90 days to go!!!!

We also found out that we are going to have a new addition to our family! NO, I AM NOT PREGNANT! But, my brother's girlfriend is! They are having a little boy in November and we are all so excited to meet him! I am truly convinced that little Cason Eugene is going to be just a precious as his Auntie C...even with that middle name that guarantees him to be a stinker like his daddy, grandpa, and great grandpa! :)

My parents have also experienced some exciting things this year. My mother just recently got married and will be moving to Louisiana soon! I am super duper excited for them! AND, my daddy is getting married tomorrow! He and Sandra are having their ceremony and then we get to party at his house with a shrimp boil! So happy for them!

Tomorrow is also the birth date of my brother, Brewster. His life with us was short but we will always remember the good times we were able to share with him. I am so happy that we will all be together tomorrow to remember his time with us. We miss ya Brew! <3

So that should catch everyone up to date! The last few months have been so good to us! I can't wait for all the new and wonderful things to come this year! And the best part is, I get to experience them with my best friend! He is such a blessing to my world!

Here are some of our engagement pics that Meegan Weaver took! She is amazing and I am so happy she is going to be with us on our wedding day to capture our love for one another! :)

Exciting News!

So, a lot of exciting things have happened the past week. First, Jeremy and I put a bid in on a house! After much negotiating, WE GOT IT! It is the most perfect little cottage home in a great neighborhood. We are WAY excited! We got the news on Thursday that we were going in to contract! We immediately began furniture and paint shopping! We have lots of decisions to make but its going to turn out great! Couldn't have been more excited. Then I came back down to reality. I had to take my exit exam the next morning for nursing school. It was my second time to take it and I was really hoping to pass it this time. I was so nervous! When I finally got up the nerve to submit the test I was shocked with what I saw.... I PASSED! I noticed myself smiling sitting right there at the computer. I couldn't have been happier! We have a few weeks before we close on the house but we have plenty to do before then! Our new home and my college graduation are just SO close! I have submitted a few applications and start the interview process on Thursday of this week. I am looking forward to more good news soon!  I haven't felt this happy in a long, LONG time. OH YEAH, Jeremy promised to take me Skydiving if I passed my exit exam.....so be looking for some awesome pics soon! :)

Super-Duper Busy!

So this last semester has just been crazy crazy busy! I usually don't let school stress me out but WOW, it has just been wild! Getting ready for graduation and the beginning of our new lives requires so many decisions! Not the best feeling for an indecisive procrastinator. Not only must I manage that, I also have to remember that my studently responsibilities are not quite over with! So much for one brain to handle! But....what I can say is that I feel this is going to be the most exciting part of my life thus far. Beginning my first real "big girl" job, possibly house hunting, and maybe even....well ya know :)....I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER with where we are in our lives!
Laker-Lou is getting so big! Momma decided today that we had to start him on an exercise schedule. First day went good!

My dad asked us to go to The Stockyards in Fort Worth with him and Sandra. Of course, we took him up on the offer. This is JJ and Tripp on the way to Granny's house!

This was pretty funny! We wrapped up the trip with a little bit of shopping and wine tasting. It was a great weekend!
